Mary Louise Pearson

Mary L. Pearson, 88, of KCK, passed away Feb. 20th at Life Care Center of KS. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Fri., Feb. 24th at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Catholic funeral services will be 10:30am, Sat., Feb. 25th at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mary was born in Purdy, MO to Joseph and Julia Zebert. She graduated high school and moved to the Kansas City area. Mary worked for SealRight, manufacturing ice cream cartons for 43 years. She married Carl L. Pearson on May 5, 1969. Mary enjoyed crocheting and traveling with friends and family, she and her husband went to the Smoky Mountains almost every year. She was always cleaning her home and preparing wonderful meals for her family; she especially enjoyed baking pies. Mary and her husband Carl were best friends and inseparable, and their favorite pastime was just spending time with their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl L. Pearson; her son, Steven Howerton; her daughter, Cheri Roberts; and her sisters, Evelyn Zebert, and Eleanor Cendroski.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Beverly Zacharias (Frank), and Debby Doberer (Doug); her sister, Judy Howerton; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other friends and family.
