

Nancy Mae Morris, 80, passed away March 3, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 6th at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7th at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66219.
Nancy was born November 7, 1934 in Bethel, KS to Giles and Alma Hackathorn. She grew up and graduated from Oskaloosa High School. Nancy was joined in marriage to Charles Morris on November 25, 1954. She attended Judson Baptist, Brenner Heights and Immanuel Baptist Church over the years. Nancy was always very active at church, teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir, she also was a member of the American Baptist Women. She loved music, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, and getting some sun while out doing her yard work and gardening. Nancy loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Giles Hackathorn, Jr., Evelyn Hook, Udell McKay, Vernon Hackathorn and Glenn Hackathorn.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Morris; her daughters, Debra Bailey (Steve), Regina Conner (Ron), Amy Barnes, and Rebecca McTaggart (Greg); her grandchildren, Brandi Dodds, Steven Barnes, Cody Wheeler, Kyle McTaggart, Jordey McTaggart, and Storm Bailey; her great-grandchildren, Levi Nabors, Nicholas Dodds, Braxton Wheeler, Noah Dodds, Kalie Wheeler, Kyle McTaggart, Jr., Dakota McTaggart, Aliann McTaggart, Ayden McTaggart, and one on the way, Kolton McTaggart; her siblings, Grant, Gordon, Marvin “Bub”, Norman, and Larry Hackathorn; as well as many other friends and family.
