Nita Beth Carrico of Tonganoxie, Kansas passed away on October 6, 2020. She was 81 years old. There will be a funeral service for Nita on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 11:00 am at Tonganoxie Christian Church, 204 Washington St, Tonganoxie, KS 66086. Family will greet friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service. The service will also be available live on Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Nita was born on November 29, 1938 in Marshall, Missouri to Robert Richard Rensch Sr. and Virginia Ruth (Jackson) Rensch. She worked as a cosmetologist for over 18 years. She was also a member of the Tonganoxie Christian Church and enjoyed bible study sessions. On May 1, 1954, she married the love of her life and husband of 61 years, Dean Carrico. She loved her plants and gardening throughout the years. Nita was an accomplished seamstress in her younger days and was always proud of her home decorating talents. Over the years, she took up a hobby making porcelain dolls, designing and sewing their outfits, and was very artistic in her creations.
Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Dean Carrico; and parents, Robert and Virginia Rensch.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Robert (Sammy) Rensch; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Tate; son, Dean (Kathye) Carrico; four grandchildren, Courtney (Tony) Chavez, Chris (Rachel) Gilchrest, Bobby Dean Carrico, Kellye Jo Carrico; five great-grandchildren, Alayna Taylor, Sam Taylor, Ava Chavez, Brandon Gilchrest, and Russell Dean Carrico; along with many other family members and friends.
