Rosemary was born August 24, 1928, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a lifelong "Dotte," graduating from Washington Rural High School and then marrying the late Ford Wayne Miller, Sr., on November 26, 1947. Rosemary worked for more than 25 years in the Clerk of the District Court Office of Wyandotte County. She was a member of Sunset Hills Christian Church for 70 years, singing in the choir and serving as deaconess and church secretary. Rosemary and Ford loved to shoot rounds of golf, bowl, camp, boat, play card games, and square dance with their friends and family.
Rosemary was an American Legion member. She was proud to be an American, proud to be a K-State Wildcat, but most of all proud of all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She could always be found in the stands of a sporting event or the audience of a dance recital, concert, or play. She would lend her support whether it was buying Girl Scout cookies, purchasing World's Finest Chocolates for school fundraising, or being a Brownie Leader or Cub Scout Den Mother.
She’s acquired many titles over the years, most recently “Escape Artist” and “Comeback Queen.”
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee H. and Thelma L. Hindman, brothers, Jack and Lee Hindman, husband, Ford Wayne Miller, Sr., daughter, Victoria Carvalho, and two grandsons.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Ford Wayne (Cathy) Miller, Jr., Cinda (Joe) Vining, Myles (Tami) Miller, son-in-law Thomas Carvalho, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Sunset Hills Christian Church or Ascend Hospice.
Serving as pallbearers are Connor Vining (Grandson), Trey Miller (Grandson), Derek Miller (Grandson), Lukas Boehm (Great grandson), Rhett Miller (Great grandson), Jason Watts (Grandson), Lucien Knapp (Cousin), Thomas Carvalho (Son-in-law) and Joe Vining (Son-in-law).
