Timothy "Kyle" Jenkins, age 52, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 from complications of pneumonia. Kyle was born on October 12, 1971 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ginny and Tim Jenkins.
Kyle spent his entire adult life in the Kansas City area. He attended Bishop Ward High School and graduated from Washington High School. He worked as a security guard at both Woodlands racetrack and the Argosy casino. He then went on to work for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.
Kyle was an avid sports fan and read the entire sport section of the Kansas City Star daily. He could quote stats of most games, teams and players from many years past and was especially fond of the Kansas City Chiefs.
On January 10, 2005, Kyle was involved in a devastating car accident and suffered a life changing spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. For the past two years he was able to live independently in his own apartment which was entirely decorated in KC Chiefs. He made many friend there and they were especially fond of him due to his wonderful personality.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ginny Margrave, his stepfather, Tim Margrave of Kansas City, Missouri and his father, Tim Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his aunts, Judy Turner and Stephanie Fields. Uncles Darrell Fields and Steve Turner. He is also survived by his half brother, Sean Jenkins, stepbrothers, Benjamin Margrave and Darrell Margrave. Stepsisters Dana Meyers and Brandy Dillon as well as many cousins.
A memorial services for Kyle will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112.
Kyle was cremated and his remains will be inurned with his mother in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in a private ceremony at a later date.
