

Tom Speer, II, 56, of KCK, passed away December 19th. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23rd at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice.
Tom was born October 21, 1957 in Tulsa, OK to Arthur Thomas Speer, I and Rosa Lee Collier. He graduated from Washington High School and took some college courses. Tom worked at the KC Kansan as a press operator for a time and then worked for Muncie Auto Salvage as a tow truck driver for over 25 years. He was a member of the Tri-County Gun Club and enjoyed shooting guns and his bow and arrow. Tom was an outdoorsman and was a wonderful uncle and brother to his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kimberly Marie Williams. Tom is survived by his sister, Deborah Taylor and her husband James; his brother, Larry Speer and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other family.
