

William “Bill” Mason, 57, of Bonner Springs, KS, passed away February 15, 2016. A memorial celebration of life service will be 10:00am, Saturday, February 20th at Bonner Springs United Methodist Church, 425 West Morse Avenue, Bonner Springs, Kansas 66012. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
Bill was born March 3, 1958 in Bonner Springs, Kansas to William A. and Shirley Mason. He graduated from Bonner Springs High School and worked in security at Champs (later Standard Motors) for many years before he had to leave for health reasons. Bill was a volunteer fireman for ten years and also volunteered at the Bonner Springs Police Department for many years. He was an avid camper and spent all his free time at either Clinton Lake or Lake Perry; he often organized special events and picnics and knew virtually everyone on the lake.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Mason. Bill is survived by his mother, Shirley Mason of the home; his sisters, Vickie McEnroe (Paul) of Basehor, and Debbie Drennon (Richard) of Basehor; four nieces/nephews; ten great-nieces/nephews and many other relatives and friends.
