Albina Garcia

The Mass of Christian Burial is 1:00 PM Monday, June 14th at St Gabriel Catholic Church, burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled from 3:00-6:00 PM Sunday, June 13th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a rosary will be prayed at 4:00 PM. Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Albina was born to Gomecindo Soliz and Mary (Martinez) Soliz Telles in Kansas City, MO. Albina grew up in the east bottoms area of Kansas City and later lived in the northeast part of the city. She graduated from Manuel High School. On April 24, 1954 she married Joseph Garcia. Albina retired from Amoco Oil Co. She was a 40 year member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and also belonged to the Ladies Auxillary of the Knights of Columbus. Albina was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Garcia; a daughter, Linda Rush; and brothers, Bennino Soliz and Benjamin Soliz.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Garcia, Jr. and wife Deanna, Kansas City, MO; daughter, Maria Garcia and Anthony of Kansas City, MO; brothers, George Soliz, Grain Valley, MO, and Ricardo Soliz, Kansas City, MO; sister, Patricia Chavez and husband, Richard, Kansas City, MO; 3 granddaughters, Heather VanBebber and husband, Keith, Andrea Hudgens and Stacy Kennedy; 1 grandson, Aaron Garcia and fiancé, Taylor; great-grandchildren, Anissa Soliz-Garcia, Gabriella Morris, CoraLynne VanBebber, Phoenix Hudgens, Journey Hudgens, Alexis Kennedy and Hunter Kennedy; and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Cesily Morrow.

Pallbearers are Louie Garcia, Calvin Metcalf, Felipe Garcia, Anthony Arroyo, Michael Ritter, Rick Chavez, Aaron Garcia and Jay Fresquez.
