Dear Porter family, so vey sorry to hear about your son. May the love of friends & family carry you through this time of grief.
Just wanted to let you know I was with your wonderful son about a month ago @ La Fonda El Taquito. He recognized me & said "I know you, you are my favorite sever from Mannys.I can't wait to tell my parents I ran into you". We spent a few hours together just talking. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Alex from my barbershop. He had such a kind heart and beautiful smile. His love for his family was always evident. I found that admirable, especially in a teenager. My prayers are with you both and with Preston. May you all feel the comfort of Alex's spirit within your hearts and may your faith sustain you during this time of sorrow.

Dear Porter Family, Be assured of our warmest thoughts and prayers for your family. My favorite memory of Alex was when he told his kindergarten teacher his middle name was "Ander". He truly had a million dollar smile. I remember fondly how much Kathleen loved her littlest brother. Rest in peace, dear Alex. May God comfort those hearts who will miss you so much.

Alex will be greatly missed! He had such a contagious smile and enthusiasm. You all are in our prayers.

Barbie and Family, I am so sorry for Alex's passing. I remember his smile and the twinkle in his eyes, when he and Evan were at St Pius together. I'm praying your faith gives you comfort and peace.

Dear Preston and Family, I have been praying for you and your family.  I am not naive to think that this note can or will make you feel any better, but please know that I am thinking of you. I'm sure there is nothing anyone can say to make any part of these circumstances better, but I hope you are able to find some kind of comfort knowing that people are lifting you up in prayer.  I hope you can feel God's arms wrapped around you tightly. I am really really sorry.

I was very sad to hear of Alex's passing. We had a lot of good times together. I had not seen him in quite a while but anytime I ran into him I was greeted by that endearing grin. He will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers will be with the Porter family.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.  I was lucky enough to be accepted into your beautiful family as a child.  I have so many memories of sweet baby Alex.  You couldn't help but smile when you saw his little grin.  The little boy who thought he could fly.  That's how I remember him.  I am sending all of my love to you.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Forever remembering Alex..

To the Porter family,
I don't have the vocabulary to adequately express my sincerest condolences to all of you on the loss of such a valued family member.  I will always think of his quick smile and his laugh when I called him Mr. Porter. All of the people who knew him will feel this void.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Porter, Kathleen, Preston and Bernadette ~  my heart goes out to each of you.  I remember Alex fondly, as well as several good memories come to mind...Alex in early elementary school, serving Mass, playing soccer, activities with your family.  He always had a smile.
