Allan graduated from Southwest High School in 1970, and was drafted in 1972. He served honorably until Aug 1974.
He married his sweetheart in Nov. 1975, they lived in Kansas City, MO until 1980, then relocated to Marion, IL in 1983. From Illinois they moved to Provo, UT and then back to Missouri in 1998.
After having 4 children Allan finally had time to go back to school. He attended John A. Logan Junior Collage, in Illinois. He also attended Steven Hanger business in Provo, UT, Uinta Valley. He worked for Dynex, Ameritec, and Provo library. When the family moved back to Kansas City, Allan worked and retired from Sprint after 15 years.
In April of 1980 Allan and Christine were sealed for time and all eternity.
This was one of the happiest times of Allan's life, to have a family and be sealed to them forever.
The most important time in Allan's life was being a husband and father,
then he became a grandfather and his whole world changed. Allan wasn't a big sports fan and didn't have a lot of hobbies, but the one thing he did have was his family. His family was his world.
Allan was blessed with 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. To him, that's all he needed. He always said he was the richest man in the world. His favorite quote was, "No success in life can compensate for failure in the home."
