Angela Marie Sleyster, 56, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on February 21st, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. A celebration of life will be held from 2–5pm on March 14th, 2026 at the event space at 2830 Guinotte, Kansas City, MO 64120. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House for the exceptional care they provided to Angela and her family.

Angela was born on January 27th, 1970, in Kansas City. From a young age, she carried a bold, magnetic presence, even modeling in her early years. She had a contagious personality that could light up any room, and once you met her, you never forgot her. She lived unapologetically, loved fiercely, and brought energy and laughter wherever she went.

Angela was an integral part of Avenue Auto Wrecking, working alongside her husband in the family business. She also had a long and dedicated career with DST/SS&C before recently retiring. No matter where she was at, she gave her whole heart.

She could cook like no one else, meals made with love, flavor, and a little bit of flair. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, celebration, and connection. Above all, Angela was a loving mother, a devoted and supportive partner, and a proud grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy and her deepest purpose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Angie Nigro; her niece, Delylah Nigro; and her father-in-law, Daryl Kyle.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Daren “Wren” Sleyster; her daughter and fiancé, Mickelle Sleyster and Gianluca Libianchi; her daughter and son-in-law, Lena and Dylan Williams; and the joy of her life, her grandson, Daren Ross Williams. She also leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Mimi and Jim Lipari; her sister, Julia Nigro; her nephews, Mike Lipari and his fiancé Tiffiani Rodriguez, and Alex and Julia Lipari and their children, Levi, Miles, and Etta Lipari. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Arlene Kyle; family friend Linda Abbott; and many other cherished friends and extended family members.

Angela’s legacy lives on in the boldness she modeled, the love she gave, the meals she shared, and the unforgettable presence she carried. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
