Arthur M. (Art) Boyd, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri with visitation one hour prior to the service. Scattering of his ashes will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice, 9227 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, Missouri 64114. Art was born on September 14, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Guy T. and E. Eurcell (Marcy) Boyd. He graduated from Southeast High School in 1944. He then joined the United States Navy. Art worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor for Bendix-Allied Signal-Honeywell for many years. He was a season ticket holder for the Kansas City Chiefs for 37 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth, sons Steve Boyd and wife Lori and John Boyd, grandchildren Lacy, Amanda, Erica, Marissa, Brandon and Austin.
