Born November 2nd, 1929 to Henry J (Bud) Elmer and Mary Elmer in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Center High School in 1948. During this time, she had met her future husband, Delbar (Del) Lee King, who was visiting from his hometown of Higgins Texas. The two married on April 7th, 1951, and had two children, Lesa Adele King, (Born 1953) and Daniel Lee King (Born 1958).
Working most of her life at Champion Turf as a secretary with her husband Del, Audrey was an avid enthusiast of gardening and maintained a flower bed every single year. She and her husband loved traveling and would often visit their favorite hotspots in the Florida Keys, South Padre Island, and even Hawaii. She also had an incredibly soft heart for dogs, and lovingly raised many dogs throughout her life. A devout Catholic her entire life, she hardly ever missed Mass, and spent many years attending St. Thomas More parish.
She is survived by her son Daniel, her grandsons David Riffey Jr, Dylan King and Daniel King Jr, her sister-in-law Verna Elmer, her niece Christi Elmer-Nicklas and her children, her nephews Dana and Jason Elmer, and cousins Pat and Carl Beer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Del, her brother Jerome, and daughter Lesa.
