

Barbara Jean Glover, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 8, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held December 28th, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, 12251 Antioch Rd, Overland Park, KS 66213. Barbara was born September 17, 1926 in Long Beach, California. She graduated from Compton High School and continued her education at UCLA where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Women’s Glee Club and Masonic Club. She taught kindergarten at Old River School Road in Downey, California. Barbara moved to Kansas City with her husband, John, in 1962. She became a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and was active in chimes choir, choir, children’s choir and Lay Ministry Council. She was also active in Episcopal Social Services, a past member of P.E.O., Chapter H.E., a past president of the Linwood Garden Club and a current member of the Shawnee Mission Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also founded a chronic pain support group after finding relief from her back pain.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thalia Katzenberger. She is survived by her husband, John; children, Stephen Glover, Laura (John) Kaiser and David (Terry) Glover; grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) and Brian (Tabitha) Kaiser, Justin (Laura) Glover, Tonya (Blake) Renner and Kelci Glover; great-grandchildren, Preston Means, Beckett Renner, Everett Glover and Jack Kaiser.
