

Bernard Eugene Ham, 85, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at the home. Bernard was born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 6, 1930. Bernard was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He served with honor in the Korean War. He retired from TWA after 27 years of service and was a supervisor at Kennedy Space Center for four years. Bernard had a great love for all airplanes and said his greatest thrill was to be a private pilot. He enjoyed flying with his son, who is also a pilot. He and his wife enjoyed many flying trips together. He was a long-time member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Ararat Shrine, and Past Patron of Elizabeth Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Bernard was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Agnes Ham and his father, Robert Lee Stoop. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; brother William B. Ham (Shirley); sons Michael Ham (Nanette) and Rodney Smith (Denise); grandchildren Tammi Liebsch (Larry), Kelly Herod, David Ham (Jennifer); and five great-grandchildren Jacob and Brooke Liebsch, Ella Lutje, Emillia and Izaiah Ham. Bernard will be greatly missed by his family and friends. All services will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15 with Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 16 with interment following in Terrace Park Cemetery.
