Betty Lou Burton

Betty Lou Burton, 76, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 5, 2013 at Northcare Hospice House following a long-time physical battle. Funeral services are 2:00pm Monday December 9th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 1:00pm Monday.

Betty was born April 4, 1937 in Rockham, SD to Alfred and Louise Vetter. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1956. Betty enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, sewing and the Saturday Night Dances at American Legion with her husband, Donald. On November 19, 2013 they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. She was born and baptized a Lutheran.

She is survived by her husband of more that 55 years, Donald Burton; son Terry Burton (Debbi Hatfield), daughter Gayla Burton (pet "Grandkitty" Leo), and son Dean (Leslie) Burton, all of Kansas City, MO. Other survivors include: sisters, Doris McNutt of South Dakota, and Carol Vetter of Wisconsin; brother Wayne "Red" (Barb) Vetter of South Dakota; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Lou) Burton of California; and sister-in-law, Deva Marrs of Missouri; and nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
