Betty was born April 4th, 1930 in Sturgis, Oklahoma and moved with her family to the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. She married Stephen A Douglas Teem on June 2nd, 1949. Betty was a nurse for 40 years and was a gifted in hospice care. She had been a member of the Church of God 7th day for over 60 years. She volunteered numerous hours each year to her church. Betty cared for her neighbors, whether it was splinting an arm or holding the hand of the sick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Elsie McCoy; daughter, Jean Ann Teem Dickens; brothers, JL "Sonny" and Lou McCoy "Barney"; sister, Dorothy McCoy Primm.
Betty is survived by her husband, Steven A Teem; daughters, Elizabeth Park, Stephanie Orem, Darlene Dean; her grandchildren, Jamie Wyrick, Larry Davis Jr., Charles Duncan III, Jennifer Caswell, Christopher Caswell, Willie Nobles II, Luke Williams; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank McCoy, Everett McCoy, Clifford McCoy; sisters, Virginia Nelson and Mary McCullom.
Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 5 at Floral Hills Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 2:00. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
