

She was born in Kansas City, MO in 1953 to Helen May & James Albert Tadlock.
She was inspired by her Great Grandfather, Judge Francis M. Black, who served a ten year term on the MO Supreme Court. He was also the first president of the UMKC School of Law.
Bonnie attended UMKC School of Law from 1984-1988 while also taking care of 3 young children. She passed the MO Bar on her first attempt. After graduating, she had a private law practice for about 9 years. She spent a few years as the city attorney for Wood Heights, Camden & Crystal Lakes, MO. Additionally, she was elected the first woman prosecutor of Carroll County, MO. She then went to work for the Social Security Administration where she worked for 20+ years as a Decision Writer.
She enjoyed being a foster parent for children while in Topeka. She fostered toddlers ranging from newborn to 2 years old. She decided to adopt one of these children after getting attached to him.
After retirement she took great joy in the care of her adopted son, Gerald (Asher) Elliott. She also enjoyed taking care of her pet cats, hamsters, lizards and sometimes fish as well as spending time with family.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Elliott, her brother Billy Tadlock & sister in-law Betty Tadlock, and is survived by her sons Derek Marriott, Micah Marriott, Chris Marriott & Gerald (Asher) Elliott, her grandchildren Brianna Poole, Jesse Hart & Liam Marriott, her sister Constance Wise, her brother James Tadlock & sister in-law Jane Tadlock, her nieces Rebecca Utton & April Tadlock, her nephew Jimmy Tadlock & numerous other nieces & nephews.
