Born to Leland and Dorothy Purdy in Centralia, Missouri on January 26, 1940, he was an only child.
Bruce was an avid fisherman and outdoors man. Times spent with his “fishing buddies” were his most memorable. He enjoyed life and was very sociable. Bruce was a bartender for many years and held various other jobs throughout his adulthood. He also experienced three marriages.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Dorothy Purdy and survived by his cousin, Jim Purdy in Columbia, Missouri.
A visitation for Bruce will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. This will be followed by a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
