Carmen Merino, 93 of Gladstone, MO., passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at North Kansas City Medical Center. Visitation will be at 8:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am Monday, November 26, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Redemptorist Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111 for masses in honor of Carmen.
Carmen was born on April 18, 1925 in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong resident. Having worked several jobs in her life, but spent the majority of her working career in the BMA Tower food service department for more than 20 years before retiring. She was a long time parishioner of Redemptorist Church. She was born to Esteban and Feliciana (Mata) Alvarez. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Joe; son, Richard H. Merino; two brothers and two sisters. Carmen’s survivors include her four children, Patricia M. Reyes (Edward), Angelina Stallsworth, Arthur Merino (Mona) and Edward Merino; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
