Carroll “Froggie” Frogge, 99, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 9:00-10:00am with a service to follow at 10:00. Entombment will be immediately after. All will be held at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, Missouri 64133.
Froggie was born in Lamar, Mo on April 29, 1926, to Raleigh and Hazel Frogge. He joined the United States Navy in1943 at the age of 17 and proudly served in World War II. He also served in the Naval Reserve and was briefly called to serve in the Korean War.
Froggie took over his family milk business for a short time. He sold Insurance for Prudential for over 20 years and then started his own business selling for National Travelers, EMC, Blue Cross & Blue Shield for over 20 years. During that time, he was a member of the Million Dollar Club for National Travelers.
Frogge had many interests. He played right field for the Naval Reserves, loved to roller skate, was a boxer and fought in the Golden Gloves Light Weight division. Loved cards of all kinds but he really liked to play bridge. He and his wife would travel all around the US to play competitive bridge. He loved country music and going to see country shows. He really enjoyed playing the slot machines at Argosy Casino and on occasion would come home a big winner!!
He is survived by a sister and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Margaret (Cross) Frogge; daughter, Cathy Frogge and parents Raleigh Frogge and Hazel Renne.
Along with his jokes and humor he will be dearly missed.
