Chad Porter always loved adventure. In his grade school years, he would spend time playing sports. He would enjoy a good tent build under his grandparents dining table and later would venture out at night to look for wildlife in the dark. His family would travel to various parts of the world and allow him to walk or climb along the mountainsides of New Zealand or Ares Rock in Australia. As he became a teenager, he had enjoyed adventures in the woods of National Parks or a climb along the mountain sides of the Swiss Alps. He loved the outdoors spending time with his family and friends playing paintball or creating a launch ramp at the lake to see if his bike would allow him to peddle his way along the water side. His social calendar had always involved his friends and family. He was funny and silly sometimes because he loved to make people laugh.
At the age of 17 his life took and different route that would keep him in a wheelchair with 24-hour medical care. However, this didn’t stop him from enjoying what was around him. As his parents became his life advocates, he was still able to enjoy the outdoors and family gatherings. He enjoyed watching movies with his dad and learning new things from audio course books. His love of music continued to flourish by attending as many concerts as possible with his parents, nurses, family, and friends. His last music adventure was to see ELO in St. Louis. His sense of humor would appear visually with a side eye or a little kick of his leg. Birthdays, holidays, and other social gatherings didn’t stop him from interacting in some way so that everyone knew he enjoyed his time with them.
Chad leaves behind his father Ray and his mother Gail, uncle Rickey, Aunt Valorie, cousins Madeline and Dakota. As well as the numerous nurses, extended family, and friends.
