
Charles "Loren" Boor, 86, of Gladstone, Mo went to be with his Savior on November 22, 2013. Funeral services are 10:30 am Wednesday November 27th at Gashland United Methodist Church, 7715 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will precede services 9:00-10:30 am. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gashland United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Loren was born February 19, 1927 in Altamont, Mo. He graduated from Gallatin High School and later attended school in Columbia, Mo. Loren had a long working career in the machinery business. He started working in St. Joseph, then on to Chillicothe and later transferring to Kansas City. He retired as Vice President of Parts and Service for the Dean Machinery Caterpiller Dealer after 42 years of service. In his retirement he sold real estate for Re Max Realtors. Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry and Alta (Whitt) Boor, his first wife, Mary Violet (Polley) Boor, 3 sisters, Vuna (Owen) Frazier, Elsie (Tom Brown) Croy, Marguerite (Marvin) Blackburn, 2 sons in law, Greg Edwards and Paul Puhr. Survivors include his wife, LaVonne Boor, 2 daughters, Mary Susan Puhr, Lori Edwards, sister, Gladys Lunnon (Don), 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, stepson, Brad Carpenter, 2 step grandchildren, sister in law, Ginny Marker, and many nieces and nephews.
