Charles Stephens Brown was born on January 23, 1949 and passed away January 18, 2026 at the age of 76. He was born and raised in Michigan. He worked 44 years for the Detroit News, Houston Chronicle and The Baltimore Sun in the Mailer Department. Charlie loved going to Leamington, Canada to the family’s cottage. He was an avid Detroit fan of the Lions, Red Wings and Tigers. He was a mall walker and was very set on his routine of places to have dinner, Sabina’s being his favorite. After his first stroke in 2024, he moved to Kansas to be with his brother and family. However, he did not ever convert to become a Chiefs fan, always loyal to his Lions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Brown and his brother, James Brown. He is survived by his brother, Robert and Brenda Brown, nieces, Erica Terry, Lorna and Darren Wagner, nephews, Brian and Nicole Brown and Austin and Alyssa Brown, eight grand nieces and nephews and many loving cousins.
Burial will take place in Michigan to be by his parents at a later date.
