Charles “Chuck” B. Cox, 81, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on August 8, 2016 at home with family at his bedside. Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1pm, at Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, 5055 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Memorial service to follow at 2pm.
Chuck graduated from Soldan High School in St. Louis, MO. He attended KCU (UMKC) and was a member of the United States Navy from 1943-1953. He was a life insurance agent and retired from KC Life.
He was a 50 years member of Ivanhoe 446 AT & AM Lodge; member of Ararat Shrine Temple, Jackson County Shrine Club, American Legion Post 0499, Blue Springs and Mensa. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and boating.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jerry; four stepchildren, Stacy Jones, Timothy Leighty (Krestin), Mark Leighty (Shannnon) and Steve Leighty (Misty), 10 step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren.
