Chris was born January 28, 1969 in Kansas City, MO to Gerald and Susan Carpenter.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Sara Carpenter (Smith) of Lee's Summit, MO. He was a proud father to two children: Lucas Carpenter, 29 (Los Angeles, CA) and Lauren Carpenter, 28 (Kansas City, MO) from a previous marriage to Kimberly Carpenter (Pieratt). He is also survived by his stepson, Tyler Smith; brother, Richard Carpenter; mother, Susan Khan; father & stepmother, Gerald & Glenda Carpenter; parental figure, La Mott; and many friends of his children whom he considered his own.
A short visitation and memorial will be held on Friday, March 1st, 2024 at the Floral Hills Funeral Home from 4pm - 6pm, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO 64133; followed by a celebration of life dinner reception at St. Paul’s Church of the Nazarene from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, 8500 E 80th Terrace, KCMO 64138.
