Born on November 9, 1928, Clifford was a hard-working, kind-hearted, devoted, gentle, and cherished individual who touched the lives of many.
Growing up on a farm in Polk County, Clifford graduated from Bolivar High School and immediately joined the army. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 as a Lt. Truck Driver, earning the Korean War Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal. After his military service, Clifford worked for Coca-Cola, Nabisco, and many others before settling into a career at Bendix Manufacturing as an assembler for 30 years.
Clifford married his first wife, Louise Wakefield, with whom he had two children. Tragically, Louise passed away in 1977. He later met Virginia Stolte, whom he married in 1978, and she remained his life partner until her death in 2005.
Clifford was a passionate fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and wintering in Arizona every year. He loved relaxing with puzzles, sudoku, and playing cards with family and friends. Above all, Clifford cherished the time spent with his loved ones.
Clifford was a great bonus dad and a blessing to the Stolte family. His gentle spirit and devoted nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
