Mrs. Connie (Lewis) Parker was born to the union of Emanuel Lewis and Margaret Williams on March 5, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina and was the twelfth of twelve children. She was affectionately called “Connie” by her family and friends and “Ne-Ne/Grandma” by everyone else.
Connie moved to Kansas City, Missouri at the age of thirteen, where she lived with her sister Vivian. She met and married Finas D. Parker in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was extremely active and had a zest for life and laughter. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, Missionary at her church, and serving others.
Connie was a great-believer in Jesus Christ and witnessed her faith daily. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member of The Church of Christ Pentecostal Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She truly loved the Lord, her church and Pastor.
On January 4, 2015, Connie walked away from this life into the Kingdom of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband Finas, and daughter Stacy Lynnette Parker.
Connie’s life and memories are survived, cherished and loved by her children, Mosezella Lewis, Ernestine Mason, Enrico D. Foy, Tracy L. Parker (Shirlene), Sonya E. Blair (Kevin), LaTanya Morris, Karen Morris and Rodney Morris; God-daughter Jana Washington-Hayden; grandchildren Shevel Foy (LaKecia), Clinton McMiller, Jr., Cornell Roe (Makih), Chris Roe, Patricia Patton, Tracy Parker, Jr., Jeremy Parker, LaCheak Fletcher, LaKeasha Williams, Traci Parker, Trayonna Parker, Traynisha Parker and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by Homegoing celebration at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, at Calvary Chapel COGIC, 5101 Bristol, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, Missouri.
