Daniel L. Fennell, III, 58 of Shawnee, KS died Sunday, December 14, 2013 at his home. Dan had worked for several mortgage companies in the Kansas City area, including Cornerstone Financial. As a youth, Danny was in Scouting; played ice hockey and spent summers at Gull Lake in Minnesota. He graduated from Southwest High School in 1973, went on to Westminster College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in History at the University of Missouri. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and a loyal Tigers’ fan.
Dan was born December 15, 1958 on Kansas City, MO to Daniel L. Fennell, Jr, and Ellen Louise Hart Fennell, who precede him in death. Dan’s survivors include his sister Carolyn Sullivan and her husband Don of Fairway, KS; his nephews Patrick and Michael and his wife Erin, great nephew, Will, many cousins and lots of wonderful, caring friends. We will all miss his great laugh, sarcasm and incredible sense of humor. A celebration of his life will be scheduled after the first of the year.
