Darla Bliss

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Darla Kay Bliss, who left this earth to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2025. Darla was a devoted wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister, and friend whose love and kindness touched countless lives.

Darla was the cherished wife of Rob Bliss for 41 beautiful years. She was the loving mother of Kyle Bliss and Kallyn Shireman, mother-in-law to Laura Bliss and Dayton Shireman, and proud Mimi to Brynlee Bliss and Brooklyn Bliss. She is also survived by her mother, Sue Morris, mother-in-law Pat Bliss, brothers Dewy Morris, Doug Morris, and Daron Morris, sisters-in-law Cathy Morris and Jackie Morris, and sibling in-laws Brenda Yeates, Thom Yeates, Brian Bliss, and Susan Bliss. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Darla’s greatest joy in life was caring for children. A devoted stay-at-home mother, she not only raised her own two exceptional children but also cared for many others through her childcare and church ministry. Her unwavering love and dedication to nurturing young hearts was one of her most remarkable gifts, and her legacy of selflessness and kindness will live on in the lives she touched.

For over 20 years, Darla fought a courageous battle against three separate cancers, enduring chemotherapy and radiation with unwavering strength and without complaint. Her faith and commitment to her family never wavered, even in the face of immense challenges. In the end, her body succumbed to the battle, but she left this world peacefully, ready to be embraced by the Lord.

We find comfort in the knowledge that we will be reunited with our beloved Darla one day. We imagine God has prepared a special place for her—a room with a golden plaque above the doorway that reads, “DARLA’S NURSERY.”

• Celebration of Life: 11:30 AM

Darla’s love, strength, and faith will forever remain in our hearts. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know her. We will see you again in heaven, dearest Darla.
