

David Carlton (Carl) Eiker of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on October 15, 2010 at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home. Carl was born April 23, 1919 in Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Frances Eiker, sister Margaret Canter and brother James L. Eiker. Carl enjoyed 66 years of marriage to Marguerite Ruth Blick Eiker (Margie) who passed away October 31, 2007. Survivors include son James A. Eiker (Paula); two grandsons Richard Carl and David Eugene (Christina); great-grandchild Mikael Eugene; and Richard and David’s mother Martha Mason Maget. Carl was a tool and die maker for Bendix (Honeywell). In 1974 Carl and Margie moved to Tucson, Arizona. Carl worked for Burr-Brown and was often recognized for his innovative ideas. In 1984 Carl and Margie moved to Green Valley, Arizona. Carl loved music, dancing and sports. He was a member of the Woodworker’s of Green Valley and acted in many Green Valley plays. Carl also enjoyed building Hubley model cars. The family would like to express appreciation to the many friends that Carl had throughout the United States. The cards, gifts, phone calls and genuine caring will always be remembered. Cremation. There will be no services.
