David was born November 9, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a Southwest High School graduate. David was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He liked bowling, hunting and fishing.
David was the best friend a person could ask for, and they (his friends) meant the world to him in return. The only thing more important than friends to David were his family. He especially had a close relationship with his parents. David was co-owner of the Wretman Company, a family-owned business for many years.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents and his own parents John and Betty Hawkins.
He is survived by his brother Paul (Susie), nephews Thomas (Amy) and Michael Hawkins. Also a great-niece, Zoey Hawkins and great-nephew, Charlie Hawkins. As well as his former wife, Lisa Hawkins.
A Memorial Service will take place at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 31st at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
He will be missed by many.
