ACC Donald P. Jenkins, 77, of Independence, MO passed away July 19, 2015. Visitation 6-8pm Wed., July 22nd at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel with rosary recited at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thurs., July 23rd at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10010 E. 40 HWY, Indep., with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Donald was born January 22, 1938 in KCMO to Iver & Mary Jenkins. He retired after serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents & a sister, Marie Sweezey. Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ardys M. Jenkins; his children, Vincent P. Jenkins of Indep., MO, Raymond A. Jenkins of Rolla, MO & Evelyn Barnes of Indep., MO; 10 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.
