Dorothy Faye Duggins Selman O’Boyle, aged 67 years, passed peacefully from this life on March 2, 2026 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Dorothy was born on October 14, 1958 to parents Dug and Ruth Duggins in Larned, Kansas. She was married to her husband, Michael O’Boyle, for 20 years, sharing life, love, and spending time together. Dorothy was a devoted mother to her two sons, Richard Elliott Selman and Andrew Lewis Selman. Her most prized title in life was Grandmother, and she fiercely loved her grandchildren, Noah Andrew Selman, and Daisy Leone Selman, who lived nearby in Leawood, Kansas.
After graduating from high school in Wagoner, Oklahoma, Dorothy attended Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee, where she studied and later taught Graphic Design. In September 2005, she met Michael O’Boyle who became the love of her life. They were married on March 14, 2006, and have enjoyed working in business together, attending church at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Leawood, Kansas and making new friends.
They established Global Recruiters of Blue Valley and have helped hundreds of Engineers, Architects and Marketing professionals to find their dream job. In 2023 they were able to successfully pass the leadership of their company to their son, Andrew. Together they were also able to satisfy Dorothy’s love of travelling as they visited many dream places in the US and around the world.
After Dorothy’s retirement in 2021, she devoted her days to grandchildren, her husband, the church and to teaching hundreds of women how to play Mahjongg. Her gentle communication skills enabled her to talk with women of all ages and show them a game that was fun to play, but most importantly, to draw them together to form new friendships. To say that Dorothy had a magnetic personality would be an understatement. She spread joy and sunshine wherever she went.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Dug and Ruth Duggins and her brother Mike. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Michael, her sons Andrew and Daisy Selman, Elliott Selman and fiancée Kristina Heller, her sister, Jenny Miller of Enid, Oklahoma, Grandchildren, Noah, and Daisy Selman, along with hundreds of people who Dorothy touched through her kindness and joy. In keeping with her generous heart, Dorothy was able to donate several of her organs, so that others could live.
