Douglas "Doug" P. Whitaker, 53, of St. Joseph, Mo passed away November 12, 2012. Funeral services are 10:00 am Friday November 16th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will precede services 9:00-10:00 am. Graveside services are 1:30 pm at Christian Chapel Cemetery north of Cameron, Mo. Memorial contributions are suggested to Kendallwood Hospice.
Doug was an Army veteran and worked in Kansas City and St Joseph in the construction trade. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dixie Whitaker, and sister, Denise. Survivors include his son, Joshua Whitaker, mother, Susan Whitaker, sisters, Deborah Mulkey, Victoria Arnold, Marilyn Guajardo, brothers, Richard and Edwin Whitaker, grandson, Landon, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
