Eugene P. Heatwole 83 passed Saturday Sept. 16, 2023. He was born and grew up in Newton,Kansas. Gene worked at LaFarge Cement Corp for 24 yrs as a welder and prior to that he worked with his brothers in construction. He passed away at home surrounded by his wife and children. His love of sports included football, fishing, camping and playing golf was exciting for him. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and he enjoyed having them around. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and four sisters and a grandson Alec Heatwole. He is survived in death by his loving wife Caroline (Wolkey) Heatwole of fifty seven years, his son Richard Childers, daughter Veronica Heatwole-Fisher, son Larry Heatwole and spouse Debra Heatwole and daughter Rebecca Heatwole as well as four grandchildren
Jessica Potter, Lance Heatwole, Christian Heatwole and Damian Fisher and many great`grandchildren. His wife and children loved him beyond words and he will be truly missed.
