Euna Elam transitioned April 19, 2025. She was born May 20, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Teremus Thompson and Ethel Brown. Both her parents, husband Charles P. Hughes, sisters Sandra Hicks, Dolores Hughes, brother Ivory Wilson Jr., son Kevin Elam, grandson Byron Elam Jr. (BJ) preceded her in death.
Euna graduated from Lincoln High School. After graduation, she worked for the Social Security Administration for forty plus years during that time she joined the Reserves for ten years.
She was avid collector of rare items. Major contributor to various charitable organizations around Kansas City, Missouri.
Euna Elam is survived by her children Byron Elam, Roger Elam, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, service at 2 PM, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
