Florence Mae (Othic) Straub, 89, Kansas City, passed away peacefully on Oct 17, 2015. Memorial Service will be Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:00AM at St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30AM prior to the mass. A luncheon and visitation at the church will follow after mass.
Florence was born Feb 6, 1926 in Marceline, MO to John and Agnes (Qualey) Othic, one of eight children. She moved to Kansas City in 1954.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Vernatta, Marguerite, Bobbie and Mary Ann; and brothers Jack, Leo and Mickey. She is survived by a son, Patrick Straub, daughter Vickie Straub; granddaughters Erin and Cheyenne Straub; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, and many friends, whom she considered extended family.
