

Frances Claire (Fitten) Sapp died on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Shawnee Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Visitation Church, 5141 Main St., Kansas City, Missouri 64112. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64111. The family suggests contributions to the Grace Hospice organization, 9200 Ward Parkway Suite 410, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
Frances was born on October 27, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri, to William T. and Mary A. (Conrad) Fitten. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and her husband Harold Sapp. Frances is survived by her children, Harold Sapp and his wife Norma, John Sapp and his wife Jeannette, Mary (Maggie) Sapp and her partner Diane Constantin, Millie Mallot and her husband, Louie, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Bill Sapp and his wife, Beth of Raytown, Missouri, Martha Lowe and her husband, Bill of Leawood, Kansas, Joe Sapp and his wife, Ada of San Antonio, Texas; her sister Peggy Eisen of Northfield, Illinois, sisters-in-law Jeanne McDonald and Harriet Marsee of Kansas City, Kansas, brother-in-law Donald Sapp and his wife, Joyce of Carlsbad, California; 13 nieces and nephews, 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two more on the way; neighbors Bill and Marge Lippert and her dearest friend, Mary Jo Kelley all of Kansas City, Missouri. Frances enjoyed collecting stamps and books, making quilts and personal photo albums, and she researched and wrote a family history which she gifted to her children on Christmas 1986. Many family treasures are in the homes of her children and grandchildren. Frances had a great love and pride for her family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Shawnee Gardens and Grace Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
