

He graduated from Southeast High School and received his BA and MA from the University of Missouri Kansas City. He spent a long, distinguished and rewarding career in the field of rehabilitation, assisting people with disabilities. He retired in 1991 as Executive Director of the Rehabilitation Institute and continued to serve many years on the Institute’s Foundation Board.
George had many interests which he pursued with enthusiasm and depth in retirement, among them mountain climbing, gardening, softball and lots of dog walking.
George was a man of estimable character and compassion. His love and life are cherished and he will be deeply missed.
George is survived by his wife Patricia, four children from a previous marriage; George, Greg, Lori and Amy, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
