Henry S. Barbosa Sr.

Henry Barbosa, Sr., 95 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022 surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 815 E. Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass, with the rosary prayed at 11:30 a.m. Military honors to follow the Mass at the church front entry. The family request masks be worn at the services.

Henry was born on August 3, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving as a military police officer. He retired from the United States Postal Service. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Mercedes (Soto) Barbosa, as well as brothers, Joe, Salvador, Anthony and Frankie.

Henry is survived by wife of 70 years, Angela (whom he met on a blind date); daughters, Janice Barbosa and Patty Camerillo; son, Henry Barbosa, Jr.; grandson, Michael Anthony Camerillo; sisters, Nacha Lopez and Connie Huerta; brother, Jess Barbosa; and many nieces and nephews.
