Ingrid Gettum McFarland, 76, passed away on March 15, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Fri., April 12 at the Church of The Resurrection Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe, Leawood, KS. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Resurrection Bell Choir.
Ingrid was born July 23, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Arne and Anna (Anderson) Gettum. She graduated from DeVillbiss high school and attended college in Wittenburg. She began her lifelong career as an organist at the age of 18 working at Glenwood Lutheran Church. Later working in CA and Ohio churches, she was the organist and choir Director at St. Mark United Methodist Church, organist/choir Director at Hillcrest Christian Church. She was a Financial Aid Officer, Director of Housing at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Ingrid loved music and playing the organ.
She is survived by her daughter, Timberly Anne (McFarland) Apple and her husband, Craig; Grandson, Grant Paul Apple, Granddaughter, Kathleen Kelly Apple.
