Jack graduated from Buffalo High School in 1950. He moved to Kansas City, MO in 1951 where he met his wife, Alice Louise at Montgomery Ward. He joked that she was his mail order bride because she worked in the mail order department. Jack and Louise were married on June 21, 1952.

He then became a business partner of T&T Skelly Station on Blue Ridge Blvd with his best friend/ brother-in-law, William Turner. Later he leased a Skelly Station on Blue Ridge Cutoff by the sports stadiums. He worked with his brother-in-law, Bill, as a mechanic at the Conoco station at 47th & Blue Ridge Blvd until he retired.
Jack was a well loved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was truly a child of God. To know Jack Taylor was to know a faithful, loving man. Jack showed love and grace to everyone he met. He was the biggest fan of each of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We all knew we could call on him to share blessings, concerns, or to ask for advice. He was always there to offer a shoulder to cry on, to lend a helping hand, or to say or do something to make us smile. He talked fondly of each person and prayed for everyone.
The memories of this man will be cherished forever as he has left such a positive impact on everyone who was lucky enough to know him. He will be missed tremendously but is now enjoying the promises of Heaven.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. - John 3:16
