Jane Ann (Dey) Davis, Prairie Village, KS, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the care of KC Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Jane was born March 16, 1940 in Kansas City, MO, the only child of Jim and Lillian Dey. Before returning to Kansas City in 1956, the family lived in Dallas, Chicago and Omaha. It was the thrill of mom's life when her dad was transferred back to Kansas City where all the family and fun was. She attended Bishop Hogan High School and the University of Sand Diego where she received her degree in English. Jane worked for Hallmark, BMA and had a home day care where she loved so many kids. At the end of most days those kid's parents would sit down after work for dinner, a drink or just Jane's listening ear. She was a master of words and stories, but was an even better listener. She knew the life stories of the mail man, the pharmacist, the checker, cops, and anyone she knew for a good five minutes.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is also reunited in heaven with so many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Dey and Murrin clans. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica O'Donnell (Jack) and three grandchildren, Tommy, Janie and Patrick. She adored them.

She was strong funny and smart. Her wit and wisdom will be cherished and missed forever.
