Born July 21, 1938 in Gainesville, Texas to Edward and Kate Lueb. She grew up on her family farm with her eight siblings.
Janette married James Allen Brownlee on December 23, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma. They raised her three children in Kansas City, Missouri.
She worked as a top saleswoman specializing in perfume at Dillard's for 29 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Brownlee, of Grandview, MO.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, James "Jim" Brownlee, of Kansas City, MO; her daughters, Karen Wallace (David) of Bulverde, TX, and Debbie McKeever (Alan) of Leawood, KS; her grandchildren, DJ Matlock, Landon Matlock, Danielle Carlson, Josh Brownlee, Jared Brownlee, Stephanie Black, Aron McKeever, Natalie Fowler, Amanda Terranova; and 14 great-grandchildren.
