Mrs. Imber was born July 3, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of David and Masha Maxine (Gershon) Golub. After graduating from high school she attended beautician’s school. She was a homemaker and raised her family. Later in life she was a longtime restaurant owner of Bell Street Mama’s, and later Mama’s on 39th Street Diner.
Mrs. Imber was preceded in death by her husband in 1986, Jerome Imber, and brother Herschel Golub in 2006. She is survived by her longtime companion Ira Auerbach, and daughter Lisa Imber Barnes, sons Mike Imber (Pam) and Steve Imber (Kristina), grandchildren Stephanie, Jeffrey, Megan, Tanner, Jordan, and Jessica Imber; and great-granddaughter Ava Arenas.
