Jean Jeffries

Jean Karol (Winter) Jeffries, age 80 of Lee's Summit, MO. passed away on August 28, 2023 at St. Luke's East Hospital. She was born on October 29, 1942 in Kansas City, MIssouri. She was an incredible mother who was always there for her children. As the owner of the Pepper Tree Hallmark store in Raytown, Mo. she met people from all walks of life, touched the lives of many, and was a longtime sorority member of Beta Sigma Phi International. In her later years, she lived at John Knox Village where she had many friends, and was a well-loved member of the community. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Robert Gilborne, her second husband, Jerry Jeffries, her parents Robert F. Winter and her mother Helen Mae Winter.

She is survived by her brother Robert Keith Winter and his wife Patty, her sister Carolyn Kay Buehlig and her husband Edward Buehlig, her children Karla Marie Gilborne, Leanna Kay Mobley, and Joseph Robert Gilborne, son-in-law Jim Mobley, daughter-in-law Nobi Hayashi, and her grandson Kohei Gilborne-Hayashi, and several adored nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be at 1:30pm September 16, 2023 at John Knox Village Chapel, 400 NW Murray rd. Lee's Summit, MO.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to City Union Mission of Kansas city, MO. and would be greatly appreciated.
