Jeffrey B. Taylor, of Overland Park, passed away May 13, 2025, at Advent Health Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Martha Sue; his son, Andrew (Sydney) Taylor, Lenexa; his daughter, Emily (Matthew) Bennett, Overland Park; his brother, Mike Taylor, Centralia, IL; his sister, Marilyn Palcher, Raleigh, NC; and his two favorite people, his granddaughter, Ava Bennett; and his grandson, Henry Taylor.
Jeffrey was born September 27, 1946 to William and Vivian Taylor. He is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and served in Okinawa, Japan. He retired in 2008 from AT&T, Sprint and NCR.
Jeffrey’s family would like to thank Dr. Brad Yost, Dr. Brandon Bowers, Dr. Abdulraheem Qasem, Dr. Allen Jetmore, and Advent Health nursing team members Erin, Kim, Sophie and Judith for their care, expertise, advocacy and friendship.
A private celebration of life for family and friends will be held. Per Jeffrey’s wishes, his body was bequeathed to the University of Kansas Medical School following tissue donation through Midwest Transplant Network.
Memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Kansas City PBS.
