John Thomas Hudgins, 78, Liberty, MO, passed away August 16, 2013 at his home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Thursday, August 22nd at St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, cremation with inurnment at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions to Disabled American Veterans.
John was born May 13, 1935 in Baltimore, MD. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the US Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and the Liberty Community Chorus. His son, Chris Hudgins, preceded him in death in 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home; son, Mike and wife, Kelly Hudgins; 4 grandsons, Phil Christ, Cort Christ, Evan Kemmer and Connor Hudgins, all of Kansas City; and sister, Annette Haynes, Baltimore, MD.
