John Lightner, 72, Kansas City, passed away at home on May 5, 2015. Memorial service will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
John was born Jan. 17, 1943 to Joseph and Katherine Lightner in Chillicothe, MO. In 1970 he married the former Wenona Kaps and to this union was born two children. John retired in 1998 after a long career at the General Motors Assembly Plant.
John is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one daughter, Marcy Lighnter and one son Tony Lightner; two grandsons, Dylan O’Leary and Dalton Lightner; and one great-granddaughter, Mia.
